"This is what dreams are made of"This was a comment left by a stranger on the internet about this piece. It was way back in 2012 or so when tumblr was a thing. I was much younger and didn't really understand the value to others of what I was making. This comment and one other similar to it made me realise what it was that I was offering and the energy from where much of my work comes from.
I'm really happy to know that it evokes such a strongly positive and dreamy feel in others who see it! This piece touches on our inner ideals - its playful, whimsical, and storybook illustration like. Freedom! ...and a touch psychedelic - it comes from a place where big dreams and ideas form. The energy instilled in me from my upbringing "you can do anything" is there. |
